Celina Rodriguez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, on January 2, 1956. She has been a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area for the past thirty-eight years and currently resides in San Jose, California. Celina is the proud mother of her only son, Diego, who is 24 years old. Diego is a Music Producer and Clothing Designer based in Los Angeles, California.


Celina is deeply dedicated to community service, a passion that has garnered her the trust and affection of the local Latino community in the Bay Area. She is recognized as a respected leader of public opinion and actively strives to influence her community in areas of political and civil participation. Her efforts include promoting voting among Latinos, advocating for adult, youth, and children's education, and raising awareness about health issues affecting her community.


She collaborates closely with various organizations, such as the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Northern California, the ADRC Alzheimer's Disease Center at Stanford University, and support groups for cancer patients, notably "Latinas Contra Cancer." Celina is also the founder of "AMIGOS DE N.H.U.," a national scholarship program at National Hispanic University aimed at providing financial assistance to low-income Latino students with academic challenges.


Celina Rodriguez's passion extends to the music, traditions, and culture of Mexico. She annually embarks on special journeys to Mexico to broadcast her radio program, "BUENAS TARDES CON CELINA." Her broadcasts come to life from historical locations, such as Puebla, Mexico, during the Battle of Cinco de Mayo, and Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, the birthplace of Mexican Independence. She covers significant national holidays, such as the Mexican Revolution through the lens of Pancho Villa, live from Chihuahua, Mexico.


Celina's most significant life missions are to be a supportive and caring mother to Diego, respecting his goals and mission in life, and to continue serving and positively impacting the Latino community.

  • Journalist graduated from the prestigious Journalism program at Stanford University: John Knight Fellowship for Professional Journalists.


  • Honoris Causa Doctor from the National Hispanic University NHU in San Jose, CA.
